Meals at Vezer Mankas Gardens

MEALS at MANKAS GARDENS will be our 5th annual fundraising dinner in partnership with Mankas Steakhouse and Chef Peter Halikas and his staff. Proceeds from this event will directly help Meals on Wheels improve the lives of seniors in need throughout Solano County.

Join us at 5pm in the beautiful Mankas Gardens adjoining Mankas Steakhouse and enjoy cocktails and delectable appetizers. Dinner will be served at 6pm and will include a delicious four course meal specially prepared by Chef Peter Halikas. Each dinner guest will receive two glasses of wine served in a commemorative glass with dinner. There will be a Silent Auction featuring local art, handcrafted jewelry, luxurious gift baskets, and much much more. An outdoor bar and live music will round out the evening.

Meals on Wheels of Solano County provides meals to home-bound and active seniors throughout Solano County. We deliver over 650 meals to home-bound seniors and local senior centers on a daily basis.  We are a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to providing elder nutrition services. Laurie comes to us with over 20 years serving non-profits in and around Solano County. She is familiar with the area and brings a passion for the work we do here at Meals on Wheels. County winesLine Cuvee – A Blended Red created especially for Meals on Wheels of Solano County by Galvan Family Cellars.

April 7th of 2014 Galvan Family Cellars in cooperation with Wooden Valley Winery and Mankas Steakhouse released 100 cases of “County Line Cuvee,” a dynamic, food-friendly blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel & Malbec. Ten dollars ($10) of every bottle sold goes directly to Meals on Wheels of Solano County. County Line Cuvee is being sold as the house red at Mankas Steakhouse. The wine can be purchased by the galvanbottle for $35 at both Mankas Steakhouse and Wooden Valley Winery. This is a limited run wine so don’t wait, before long it will be gone.
