Home-Delivered Program

Our Home-Delivered Meal Program serves meals for seniors age 60 and over and are home-bound. Volunteer Delivery Drivers will deliver our freshly prepared meals five days a week. A key component of our Home-Delivered Program is daily contact with our senior clients.

Key Components of the Home-Delivery Program

  • Deliveries are made between 10:00 am – 1:00 pm Monday through Friday for home-bound seniors. Clients MUST be home to receive the meals.
  • Meals will be delivered in advance of seasonal holidays.
  • Daily Contact – saves lives and allows seniors to remain in their own homes.
  • Seniors will receive a monthly menu and information on other social service programs.
  • We provide nutritional and preventive health information.
  • Eligible seniors can order meals for five weekdays and two frozen meals for the weekend.
  •  Our suggested donation is $3.00 per meal or $15.00 per week to help support the program.

Congregate Dining Sites (local Senior Centers)

Meals on Wheels of Solano County has been serving meals at local Senior Centers in Benicia, Dixon, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun, Vacaville and Vallejo since 2001. The Congregate Dining Program is designed for active seniors to promote socialization and community involvement which increases physical and psychological well-being.

Key Components of the Congregate Dining Program

  • Congregate Dining is sharing a meal and socializing with other seniors in the surrounding communities.
  • Seniors will receive a monthly menu and information on other social service programs.
  • We provide nutritional and preventive health information.
  • There is no meal service provided on seasonal holidays.
  • Our suggested donation is $3.00 per meal or $15.00 per week.

Advanced Reservations Requiredadvance-reservations-required-1-hdr

  • Lunch Reservations are required 24 hours in advance by calling Meals on Wheels of Solano County 707 426-3079. Reservations will be accepted up until 7am on the day of service. We have a 24 hour message line so you can call at any time to make reservations.You may also make advance reservations with the Site Host located at each Congregate Dining Site.

Note: No senior will ever be denied a meal based on inability to contribute.
