BUILDING OUR FUTURE
Since MOWSC began in 1977, we have expanded beyond meals to provide case management, in-home fall prevention, pet food assistance, senior resources, and innovative approaches to address isolation and loneliness. We have also enhanced nutrition services to include shelf-stable emergency meals, snacks, and a pantry providing food bank resources weekly.
The result is that we are now bursting at the seams. This is why we are elated to share that we have recently purchased a new building that will triple our current program space. It includes an energy-efficient kitchen, ample storage to better handle the logistics of food delivery, and provide an opportunity to partner with more community members including local growers who are eager to assist with our fresh produce needs.
There’s lots of work to be done and we’ll need your help. But, together, we’re making an impact to help Solano’s older adults age in place with dignity.
Together, we are #BuildingOurFuture!
